: That is nice; I'm anxious to hear how it handles for you.

Was going to launch it at our Thursday night paddle but looks like it will be stormy. So I took it to the water today. I am impressed! Of course this is all subjective with no one around but it seemed to be faster than my current boat at normal speeds. Of course I designed it to minimize the resistance at cruising speeds.

Out in the open water it seemed slow to me. Then I turned up a narrow creek and when I had a something next to me to reference off of it seemed I was scooting right along. Initial stability is good but not extremely solid which is what I expected. Good secondary stability.

It doesn't turn as easy as I had hoped at low speeds. I think it might could stand some more rocker. Tracking appears good. No wind to see if it is going to weathercock. But it edge turns very well. I was very pleased with that. Course corrections were simple. And the boat glides so well!

I feel as if I am sitting really high but the gunwales are very low. But the cockpit is very comfortable for me. I was concerned about the frames hitting my calf but it was perfect. Very comfortable boat.

First impressions are this is a winner! But I still have a lot of hours to put in before I am pronounce it a real winner.
