Thanks, I like the way the bow and stern play off each other too. Glad to see someone besides me picked up on that.

The skin is a 12 oz Nylon from Dyson Bairdarka. A little heavier than I had in mind but that was all he had and I figured I would try it. Sews nice without a lot of 'pull holes' in it. The primo 8oz from Skin Boat school is nicer to work with, but no complaints on this.

Coated with ZAR exterior oil based everyone talks about. I need to add a couple of more coats but I have it waterproof now and I am REALLY anxious to see if paddles like I had in mind. Plus I want to add some oak rub strips and coat them at the same time.
