: It's taken longer than the others but I made a few changes as I built it so I
: had to back up and duplicate some of my efforts. I am hoping to launch it
: about Thursday. If work and weather schedules don't change that is!

: I just sprayed this one with no tint in the poly and I am not sure if I like
: it or not. I want to put one a couple more coats and I am debating if I am
: going to tint the poly and what color. But first I am anxious to see if
: she paddles as I had in mind!

That is nice; I'm anxious to hear how it handles for you.

: This photo makes the stringer look as if they are taller than than are. I did
: end up with a little hump on the starboard side but not as bad as this
: looks! I thought as I was sewing up the skin and pulling it tight it would
: pull the end downward and blend better. But it's minor and on the next one
: I am going to lower these just a bit so they blend better.

: Photo of the stern. I was inspired by the Baidarka and the old Fain Tail
: Launches. I have never seen another one done this way. It was my idea but
: of course this may have been done before. Next one I will round over edges
: on the router table. I don't like the transition along the edge. I would
: like to see it transition smoother at the back end. Overall I am well
: pleased with it though.

: One of the changes I made as I was building was to remove the plywood floors.
: I recut and reshaped the two center frames and notched them for floor
: stringers. I like these much better. Next one I am thinking of extending a
: couple stringers to make foot rests.
