Okay, thanks. This sounds like it would work well.

Two more follow-up questions though before I get this done this weekend:
Should I expect problems with different temperature expansion of the epoxy covered plywood, the epoxy end pour, and the CPVC piping? Perhaps this might lead to leakage around the CPVC pipe where it touches the plywood?

If the end result of the normal end pour method was simply a hole through the plywood and through an epoxy end pour, what function does the tube serve? Couldn't I simply fill the void left by the water through one of the grip holes and, after the epoxy has hardened, drill the grip hole again in the same place?

I really appreciate the quick answers provided here. I'll take some pictures and post them after the procedure is completed.
