: problem still isn't clear, how did water get in the kayak?

The boat only had one finishing coat of epoxy on all sides. This being me, I did my best to keep the first coat very thin. At the very tip of the kayak, there was a tiny hole. When I put that end into the bucket of water, water entered into the kayak. I apparently only managed to pour the epoxy on top of the water.

The water did not flow back into the kayak, but dripped from the tiny hole in the tip. So, I do not have access from within the kayak to fill the end, but have to work with the grip holes.
