: Thanks for the input.

: Should I be concerned about the hull warping if I glass just the outside then
: go to work on the deck? It may take a while. I'm working in my basement.
: It may get a bit more humid as the winter turns to spring rains next
: month.

When you glass one surface of the wood you essentially freeze it. The bare wood side will respond to changes in humidity. If it becomes less humid the bare surface will shrink. To expand the wood again you need only to wet it.

If is becomes more humid the wood will expand. To shrink it all you must do is dry it, with a heat gun, or a room with a dehumidifier.

Measure the hull widths at each station and you will know where the hull should be. As long as the hull maintains those dimensions once the interior glass is wet-out your hull will be good.

: I'm not sure about wacking out the forms. This seems to me to ruin all the
: alignment of the forms on the strongback. I still have the deck to build.
: I'm using an internal strongback. Maybe that's the difference. I have
: masking tape on the forms so to remove the hot glue blobs it's pretty easy
: to just pick them off from the inside

Hot glue is a thermal plastic that releases by being sheared off with a blow.

I believe Nick has used hot glue with his internal strongback design.

Good luck
Rob
