all right again my lack of communication skills have gotten what i was trying to say mixed up or something. I am planning on removing the frame and only using for mold my main worry was if because of design being inlayed in almost a straight vertical line on each side of craft if that might weaken the core and cause a stress point. scarfing i have seen the 8:1 and then the write up in here about some stress test that was done with a 12:1 scarf joint core against butt-joint in sandwich construction i guess they said there was not a great deal of difference. If those butt- joints were stacked though do you think it would have been significant.
Also Bill H thank you for all your responses
I'm sure this craft is going to be on the heavy side due to lumber choices I think that red blood wood is the heaviest wood I've ever seen but oooo-oo is it pretty. No actually I'm trying to use minimal amounts think about just face gluing over reg. strip planks make both 1/8" glue together plus I think I'll switch to some cedar.
Thanks Again
