: (17') has a beam of 24". Have to get the bouyancy somewhere, if you
: reduce the length that much it has to get both wider and deeper or the
: person paddling it has to get much smaller. Nick sells plans for the 10
: footer btw and the dimmensions are on his web site. Not always a great
: idea btw to try to build from the plans in a book, specially for the first
: build.

Thanks for the response, I didn't think it would be that easy. Do you suggest I buy the plans for the 10' from this site, or do you have other recommendatons for plans for smaller boats?
