Like Rob says WRC dries quickly. If you cut it into strips the strips will likely be dry by the time you put them on the forms.

My rule of thumb for buying wood for a kayak is 2 board feet for foot of length of the boat. The NH is 18 long so figure 36 board feet. If you want to be safe, make it 40 board feet.
