I finally got around to measuring the roof rails on the Highlander (much shorter on the 2008/2009 model) and there is about 40" between attachment points. A little more than I thought but I may just be spoiled with the old Xterra's 60" factory rails. Any advice as to where the lowest priced Thule racks are sold?
