: Thanks for the response Bill. Yeah I was hoping to use the Thule
: "J" cradles that I already have. Is there any consensus on what
: works better with the "J" cradles Thule or Yakama crossbars? I
: ask this because I know one is round and the other is square. Also, does
: anyone know if there is an minimum distance required between
: cradles/crossbars to safely mount a kayak? Unlike the Xterra where the
: roof rails run the full length of the roof, the Highlander's roof rails
: only run about 2/3 of the length of the roof (seems to be the new style on
: several small and mid-sized SUVs). Thanks again...

: Evan

Also meant to ask, which system, Thule or Yakama, has the quickest attachement to the factory roof rails? If possible, I would like to leave the "J" cradles on the crossbars and just remove the crossbars from the Highlander when not in use. Thanks again.
