: We were thinking of perhaps a 3 feet wide table made of 2 sheets of plywood
: or MDF on 3 saw horses. Any suggestions?

I found that a two foot wide bench worked perfectly for me. Just ripped a 3/4 inch plywood sheet down the centre and mounted it on a 1x4 frame for strength.

I ended up putting outriggers on the edge of the table, but that was only because I stupidly built the frame right at the edges of the table, and I needed the ovehang to clamp things to during the building process.

If I had moved the fame two inches behind the lip of the table when I added it, I wouldn't have had to do that.

I've attached a link of the 'shop' I made a couple of kayaks in when we were renting a place while my current house was being built. Not much space, very few tools, but with S&G you don't need much of either.

You can see the table in a few of the pictures.
