Hi Charles,

Why don't you give it a few sessions, see if you can get dialed-in as to how the boat behaves and go from there. If things don't feel right for you and you don't bang it up too much, you can always sell it and build another one with a world of added knowledge in your pocket.

Doing another boat, after discovering something you wish you'd done differently, is the best reason to stay connected to the craft. I look at it as a journey. If my first boat was wonderfully perfect in all respects, then there wouldn't be much to learn by doing another. Now, after many boats and countless sail rig systems designed, built and tested, I'm still finding out that I'd like to try it another way the next time.
