This is getting to be a long thread but, as they say, I'd rather be in the game than on the bench so I'll keep going. It must have been Bihl Price who made a "James Bond" remark to me at R2K2 after I told him the drop-in/pop-off idea... I think he said something like "that would be the ultimate James Bond boat"... that remark is what made me want to go for it. Now I know who to blame... Anyone who has seen one of Bihl's boats knows he has the midas touch. I must have annoyed him at R2K2 with the millions of pictures I took of him and his boat.

SMF, I will lauch this boat before the SOF insert is done because summer in Seattle is true paradise. Both mini-me's http://www.chipsandresky.com/family/images/santatrain.jpg have taken kayak rides before so I will make ample use of it this season. You'll have to come down for a launch/cookout party; maybe sometime in May. Bring the family too.

SED, I've been wondering what had happened to my friend the Pewterer (?is that right?). I actually dropped my Clifton 3110 and it snapped in half. I cried to Garrett Wade and they sent me their floor model for $30 I think the old one could be brazed... having a new one works out okay too. Otherwise, no new planes. I want a Clifton #4 but I might have to get an old Bailey or something off e-bay because I'm already tapped out for 2003.

Anyway, good to hear from all of you. I know I'll see Bihl and SMF at R2K3. Look me up next time you're in Washington State SED.
