That is a valid consideration for contact cement and heat activated glue. They are both convenient requiring minimal clamping. This is leaning me more to using epoxy and some clamping.
Besides having enough clamps (I may try the home made PVC clamp trick) my only concern is a shifting of the veneer while I am clamping. Could I wait until the epoxy becomes tacky and then clamp? That could eliminate the "sliding" of the veneer during the clamping process.
