question about epoxying the ferrules

I am interested in the same topic. Had planned on doing likewise in a future project and have already purchased the metal ferrule, so I was also wondering how you attach it to the wood. It would appear to be evident from your response that epoxy sticks adequately to metal. Was that in fact your experience. Thanks.
