I am buuilding my first paddle and instead of feathering the paddles I bought a stainless steel ferrul. How is it attached to the paddle handles? There were no holes for drilling and using a screw and the wood commercial paddles I looked at seemed to have the ferruls pressed on. How do I do this at home and how do I seal the wood in the ferrul. Any help would be greatly appreciated..
