FWIW, it has been my experience that the 99 cent Chinese clamps (black plastic handles and tips) lose their "spring" very quickly, and become all but useless with time. On the other hand, my Pony spring clamps (orange plastic handles and tips) have the grip of a WWF wrestler even after many years of use, and a lot more than even the new ones with the black plastic handles.
I thought the Pony`s were a steal when I found them for $1.99 each, and would snatch up as many as I could at a lower price.
