Mike –

You are correct – the apparent question marks you see are indeed one quarter inch. I used Word to compose the post, and when I type the numerals one-slash-four the program automatically converts them to a single small special symbol of one over four. It came through OK both when I previewed the post and later on the forum. I use Internet Explorer 7 as my browser, which handles it OK. Lesson learned – next time, I will be sure to not post fractions that way.
