Not at all. Don't build from that model though, it's not as close as it should be. For a more accurate one use the model without the deck.

I'm curious about this. A quick glance at some of Harvey's replicas seems to show a chine extending above the waterline in a few of them. From his new illustration, it looks more like a West Greenland style. Maybe more modern, but, hey, I'm not the expert on this one. I can't afford his book, so I don't have it handy.

A quick look through some of the models I have show the Pilgrim Museum, Adney Fig. 206, and the Sisimuit 1935 that Brian Schultz used to build all share the raised chine like the Iggy. I suspect that the Skinny Walrus also shares that feature. I'm having a hard time remembering where all those kayaks came from, but just from the top of my head, I think they were mainly from W or SW. Any more from the ones that you've modeled?
