Anybody know if those screws driven into PVC pipe will hold?

: here is the general idea on how to attach the plywood to the PVC. This
: illustration doesn't show any additional plastic or wood inside the pipe,
: but having something there would give the screw more to bite into.

: The plywood does not extend as far out as the pipe, so the fabric for the
: skin rides only on the smooth PVC pipe. The width and length of the
: plywood will be determined by the spacing of the kayak's frames, the
: distance between the pipes, the number of sections of PVC pipe used along
: the length of the boat, and the number of frames. Make the frames first.
: Use duct tape to hold the PVC in place on the frames. Attach the ends of
: the PVC to the bow and stern forms. Then measure and install the plywood
: bracing for the sidewalls to fit. After that you fit the floor to brace
: and support the keel tube or tubes.
