I'd be interested in attending a Wood Kayak Rendezvous. I'm in Western Montana, so Cal. would be a bit of a stretch, but I could make something in the PNW. Holding the Rendezvous near the time of the sea kayak symposium would allow people with the time (and inclination) to attend both if they wanted to.

I know there's some great paddling spots up around Vancouver/San Juan Islands/Southern Inside Passage if anyone wanted to get together before/afterward to do a trip. British Columbia's ferry system (BCFerries) has great deals for kayakers. You can get shuttled a LONG way on the ferry with your kayak for something like 4 bucks. (But I know this is a bit too far north for most people)
