I've been told that filling the weave is like a snowfall. After a heavy snowfall, you can still see the stuff in your yard. You may not know whats under the snow, but everything is coated. You may still see the outline of the weave, but it's coated. I put on 4 coats on my s&g's, with a roller (tipped with a brush), sand as if I an going apply the finsh, then apply one more final epoxy coat, sand and varnish (4 coats).

Ok, folks. I said snowfall - not a blizzard. However, blizzard would describe the way I 'filled the weave' on my first kayak:-)
