thanks for the advise. i'll go with the soak. morris suggested 24 hours when i talked to him a couple of months ago. if i can get a couple more seconds of bending time i'll take them.
i'm building the greenland kayak. the deck is done, stems in place, and the keel is layed. my ribs are cut and ready to soak and steam. i'll be running my copy of your steamer on friday. then chine stringers and skin (shudder).
like you i have a lot of irons in the fire and the sof has been on hold for about a month and a half while i worked on the deck of the spring run.
i'll post a pic of the frame when it's finished.
