Sounds like a great trip, even with the sunburn!
I too am an avid skiier and snowshoer(sp?). The only problem with enjoying winter and summer sports is that skiing is so much fun that the winter goes by too fast, and canoeing, kayaking, and hiking is so much fun that the summers go by too fast. If you just sat around on your butt thinking about how bored you were, time wouldn't fly by like it does.

: weekend paddling (canoe) on Kingsmere Lake and aside from some moderate
: winds on Sunday, we had fantastic weather - warm (during the day - nights
: were darn cold), & sunny. During the night the beaver were busy and
: could be heard dragging birch & poplars past our tent on their way to
: the underwater raft of winter supplies they were building. We also saw a
: family of moose but watched them from a distance given that it's mating
: season. Yesterday we paddled home across the lake with just a light South
: breeze and little more than a ripple on the big lake. Unfortunately we
: didn't bring sunscreen and my wife got a bit of a burn - at the end of
: September!!
