Thanks for the report, I've been eying that model for a while now. Unless something way better(at a good price) comes up, I'll buy one in the spring.

When canoeing or kayaking rivers here in the Canadian prairies, after a few dozen curves it's virtually impossible to figure out where you are, no mtn peaks to do triangulations on, and if your doing a wilderness trip, no towns or bridges, to figure out your position. It's possible to keep a very rough estimate of where you are taking into consideration current speed and paddling speed but it's beyond my ability to be very accurate. If your doing a trip that you are unfamiliar with you never know if you should be hurrying or slowing down and relaxing. For me a GPS will eliminate the time related anxiety, and enable me to enjoy the trip more.
