Hi Don, I used to live near the Atlantic Ocean about 5 years ago. Back when shark attacks were rare, I would "lap" swim about 100 yards out. I'd get salt water in my eyes, nose, mouth... Provided you avoid other hazards (jellyfish, sewage, sharks) the salt water is a natural antiseptic and good for what ails you! There is a nasal wash called "Ocean" that you can get at any pharmacy; guess what's in it. You'll dry out in a few days.
