I've had mixed success with the wooden padeyes over the years. My first were made of teak and they have held on the boat for over 8 years now. I've made others out of ash which started popping off after a year. So far I have used teak, mahogany and ash and the only ones with any problem have been the ones made of ash and they have consistantly been problematic.

I would suggest switching to mahogany or teak.

I am surprised teak has worked so well given that it is notoriously hard to glue, but oak has an even worse reputation.

I soak the padeyes in unthickened epoxy first then glue them in place with cabosil thicken resin.
