: Hey Everyone!

: I am working on my first wooden kayak (Great Auk) and I am ready to glue on

: thicken it with cab-o-sil? Or do I leave it in the unthickened thinner

: Thanks for any advice! Kurt

kurt,

I used water base carpenters glue to laminate all of my ash strips. Then sanded and impregnated with epoxy when I did my first sealer coat on the whole boat.

I did this on two boats and have not had any problems with both the coamings and the bow and stern outer stems.

Alot easier than using epoxy.

Good luck -- steve pollack
