Scott, I found some used as the center of a large wire reel, the type that some people used to varnish and use as tables. The older ones had pieces like barrel staves; the newer, cheaper versions use either cardbord or bendable plywood stapled in a tube. If you have access to some reels, check: if the center is white wood with grain across the reel, you only have to undo 4 long bolts to take the ends off to check. Mine had three plys, all in the same direction. With two layers plus cloth, I think it will make a functional, if not decorative coaming. Good luck, TNX, Scotty
