: There are no screw-ups in wood strip building, only opportunities
: I had the same thoughts/daunts as you have when I started the deck of my
: Great Auk, with rounded forms. I looked at it for a few days, then went
: ahead and started stripping. It works out easier than it looks. I think
: that I may end up with a small crack at the bow that will have to be
: filled. The deck sheer strip will fit flat at the bow and stern and fit
: close. There will be a small area at about station 3 or 4 that you will
: have to work with to get the angle right. Get as close as you can, just
: remember that is easy to fill up cracks in wood strip boats. Nobody will
: know if you don't tell them. I am using cypress and it is not the easiest
: wood to get to bend.

Thanks for your response. It gave me the hope to go on. I started stripping form the middle and figure that will eliminate some of the horizontal stations. It is nice to know others look at it the way I do, and still survive.
