Hi John,

FWIW, my groove is 5/8". I used Rob Macks' method of using a length of vinyl tubing, (5/8" O.D.in my case), to keep the space uniform and also to provide a nice curved fillet of dookie schmutz.

Wiping up a coaming with auto body putty? That sounds a little scary.
