Hi Mike, my friend is using brads and it's looking great. They fit into a regular (hand-powered) staple gun. He's letting the top 1/8" of the brad protrude above the work and it looks like he's going to have a pretty easy time removing them... but he's going to owe me money for all the clothes I've caught on those buggers :) I have a bias to hand tools but cedar is pretty soft and you may find it easier to control depth with a hand tool.
