Sounds like a problem you can live with for a long while.

BUT: Keep an eye on these areas to be sure they aren't pinhole leaks -- allowing moisture under the fabric and into the wood. if so, then they can be touched up now, or you can wait until you do your annual reapairs.

The time when you revarnish is also a good time to patch any dings or dents. You'll certainly have a few eventually. You could do these fixes at the end of this year, or at the start of next season. Or you could put things off for another year if you have no dings to fix and these spots stay the same.
