In Response To: Grease (Mike Nicholson)

: I will also need to find some silicone grease for the screw in threads.

: I think silicone grease is used on O-rings. I bought some at a swimming pool
: store. Its the consistency of petroleum jelly and I would be concerned it
: would attract sand. What about the silicone spray lube?

The company suggested using petroleum jelly or the silicone grease. I know you are right, that sand and dirt will get into the threads. I do have some silicone spray that I use for slidding doors and it shoud work ok.

Thanks,
John
