: I used about a 1:1 volume mixture of durhams water putty to wood flour to

: will epoxy (when I glass the hull) turn the filler to dark chocolate color
: like wood flour normally does as fillet material on a S&G boat? I need the

Pete,
Don't get too nervous about the Durhams. when I used it, I tried wood floor (several different colors) as well as microballons, both white and red. I found that I could get the color pretty close but even the areas that appeared too light came out fine after several coats of epoxy and now many many coats of varnish. Varnish seems to tone down and blend everything on a stripper. On your S&G, it just darkened the mahogany. If you have light woods like pine or white cedar, they will be more yellow than white. The Durhams will darken some and blend with surrounding colors better than it looks now.
