You'll hear many opinions on this matter...so here is my experience. I used MAS epoxy with slow hardener. While I had not used epoxy before, I never had a problem with curing, blush, or any other unpleasantries such as smell. Sometimes I wished for fast or medium hardener, but oftem substituted a 5 min. epoxy for small tacking tasks. Wet out of the 4 oz fiberglass cloth went very well. I did not use satin weave, and I hear that Raka is thinner, and may wet out a tight weave more easily. I used Interlux Goldspar varnish over the MAS, and so far have had no problems, other than my inability to produce a perfect final coat due to dust, fuzz, and other intrusions.
