If you like the seat, you may consider using it as a mold for a fiberglass seat. The result should be lighter and you could customize it to fit your yak (Rams Head on the seat perhaps :-) Ross and Shawn have good descriptions of FG seat construction on their pages. Hope to try it myself this summer.
