: I was all set to attach my first strip tonight but have found that the hot
: glue won't stick to the masking tape that I have on the forms. I had
: thought that this would be the best tape to use as it has a bit of a rough
: surface. Any thoughts on the subject? I was also curious about the need
: for the slow setting glue for strength over the all purpose fast set type.
: As you probably figured out I'm hoping to build this boat stapleless.

Hot glue will not stick to any tape well enough to take advange of its use. I use hot glue on bare wood stations, and only use hot glue formulated for wood applications. Anything else will not take advantage of the maximum holding power of hot glue for stapless construction. And yes, you can still remove the stations without damage to deck or hull if you whack them out shearing off the stations.

All the best,
