I am thoroughly impressed by your attention to detail. The craftsmanship and planning that goes into something of such beauty is extraordinary.

I had thought about beveling strips for the same reasons, but when reding Nick's book on strip building I was made aware that the bevel angle may not be constant along the length of the strip. This twisted bevel led me to a decision to shy away from such a labor intensive method, but after seeing how rewarding the results can be, I think when I do a strip built boat I'll have to at least do the deck this way.

Please keep sending us pictures. I need the encouragement. I'll probably goof around with one or two quicker built kayaks first, but someday I will try to do a work of art, and your example is really something to aspire to.
