Bandsawing strips worked well Rehd

I would like to report on my bandsawing efforts, in hopes of helping someone else, now that I am an expert (big laugh). It took me 1.5 hrs. to cut 31 8.5 ft. strips, with hand planing of one side each time. I am now up to 179 strips, long and short. The planing is quite aerobic, but I am getting there. I overbought on the wood, but the wife said, "Might as well cut them all while you are set up." I have an infeed and outfeed board bolted to the saws table, and sawhorse type supports for the ends of the I&O. So, it is a 1 man show. The boards I cut were up to 15' long and very curved. As long as I put the outside curve against my fence, I had no problem following the curve. However, I did adjust the fence at the beginning to compensate for the blade lead or tendency to cut "unparallel" to the table. So, the blade will cut parallel to the fence. How many strips per hour do you get on a table saw? - Scott E.
