I know you are a sensible sort. After all, you have the great good taste to ask my opinion :)

Putting the doorskin on the outside would not have made any sense. Since it would not have flexed very well, any impact to the strips of the boat would cause them to flex inward -- away from this plywood and any support it was supposed to provide.

And if you believe all that you'll also believe I had a 50-50 chance of guessing your mind.
