The joint is bare wood and epoxy/fibreglass. The glue has cured and it is holding. I sanded the area prior to applying the sheer clamp. I planed the top of the clamp to mate with the deck. I just finished painting the other three sides of the sheer clamp with epoxy and I plan on joining the deck and hull tomorrow morning using thickened epoxy.

: If your joint is Bare Wood / Bare Wood then you are doing fine. However, if
: you are trying to get Bare Wood / Epoxy, then you need thickened epoxy to
: get the bond you want. Wood glue won't adhere to epoxy.
