Cradles can work very well and are much more stable than slings. I used some to frame my SOF Return deck and was putting a lot of pressure on the whole frame during the process. The cardboard cradles I made never budged. You could make a set for the deck, like Ross has, as well as the hull. Put each set on reasonably straight 2x4's and you can quickly change setups or even cradle both the deck and hull at the same time.

That Ram looks real nice! You're never going to be able to paddle that thing with all the comments and questions you'll get from passers by!
