The Elmer's won't cause you any grief. The T2 is water resistant, but not waterproof, so the method will work. If you cover the hull with rags and soak the rags for an hour or so, the glue will soften and the joints will shift enough to true things up for you. As Julie might say, "go forth and sin no more, my son."
