In Response To: how many strips per hour? (sage)

The
: last 5 forms (excluding the very last one) the strips have been pulling away
: from the forms. the worse one is 1/4 in above the form. I think I will
: continue and try to keep it smoth by eye. what did I do wrong?

hi sage;
i had the same problem on one of my canoes. my fix was to use the brad nailer. nailing through a scrap piece of strip, burying the head of the brad in the scrap strip, while forcing the hull against the forms.
the staple-less answer might be a small dab of hot glue? i haven't this method as yet, but i intend to.
best regards;
