I am varnishing right now and on the 4th coat. Having no fun. A good light is a must to see where you left off. Work on a small area at a time and try and keep a wet surface. I have 3 coats and never yet made it all the way without a bunch of bare spots that I either missed or rubbed dry with the foam brush.

I made the glass for a standard layup with 50" and 18 yards, but I used dynel on the football thus saving that much glass. I did have to piece together inside deck and hull from the trimmings. Cut the glass on a diagonal as much as the boat will allow, thus the trimmings I am talking about in long triangles.
