In Response To: Trueing One Edge Of Lonk Planks (Ken)

considering it's a 12 footer, which I consider short, you can snap a line and hit it with a jack plane. (a long plane - 15" or so). I love power tools too and have straightened boards whith the crippler board also. but... sometimes on a 8 to 12 footer, I can hand plane it straight in the time it takes to set up the saw. Of course, you need the plane or borrow one.
