: I recently read a couple of pump items on one of the other board sections
: that I now have some answers to. It's too late in the evening for me to
: look for them, and they should be under the building section anyway so
: here goes.

: Someone mentioned that they wanted to have a waterproof electrical connection
: between their pump and the battery box so they could take out the battery
: box whenever they wanted to use it in another kayak (or something like
: that). I noticed that my attwood pump easily disconnects from its mounting
: bracket with just a simple twist so the bracket could be mounted in the
: kayak and the pump could just be removed from the bracket and kept with
: the battery box. When I picked up a catalog from West Marine today I
: noticed that they also sell mounting brackets for the "Rule"
: pumps (#112773). I would think one could find the mounting brackets for
: the rule or attwood pumps and put one in each kayak.

: Someone else mentioned that they were wanting to eventually come up with some
: way to solar charge their batteries. West marine sells them in all
: different sizes and powers.

sea kayaker august 1999 has a article on building a electric pump system.

the article is from Rob hair Rh7052@aol.com.

you can get a full kit from him for $90.00 (that includes shipping and handleing

in the us and canada). you can get the back-issue it will run about $5.00 it has a full parts list with part# and maker.

I am instaling them into the two kayaks I am working on.
