I recently read a couple of pump items on one of the other board sections that I now have some answers to. It's too late in the evening for me to look for them, and they should be under the building section anyway so here goes.

Someone mentioned that they wanted to have a waterproof electrical connection between their pump and the battery box so they could take out the battery box whenever they wanted to use it in another kayak (or something like that). I noticed that my attwood pump easily disconnects from its mounting bracket with just a simple twist so the bracket could be mounted in the kayak and the pump could just be removed from the bracket and kept with the battery box. When I picked up a catalog from West Marine today I noticed that they also sell mounting brackets for the "Rule" pumps (#112773). I would think one could find the mounting brackets for the rule or attwood pumps and put one in each kayak.

Someone else mentioned that they were wanting to eventually come up with some way to solar charge their batteries. West marine sells them in all different sizes and powers.
